Community Happenings

Leading up to and during the Games, the City sponsored events in Vancouver’s communities for residents to celebrate the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in their own neighbourhood with family-friendly activities, such as arts and crafts workshops, games and sporting events, and cultural performances.

During the Games, Vancouver community centres and neighbourhood houses housed a Community Living Room where neighbours could gather to view the Games on large-screen televisions.
