Get Blue Boxes & Bags

    Replacement boxes and bags are provided to Vancouver residents at no charge. There are three ways to get Blue Boxes & Bags: In person pick-up, order by phone or order online.

    Please note that there is a wait time when ordering blue boxes and bags on-line or by phone. For yellow and blue recycling bags the estimated wait time is 2-3 business days (the bags are mailed out). For blue boxes, the estimated wait time is approximately 2 weeks (the boxes are delivered). Wait times do vary with the volume of requests received.

    In Person Pick-up

    If you would like to pick up blue boxes or bags in person, please go to:

    Main Recycling Depot
    377 W. Kent Avenue North.

    Open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

    Ground Floor Rotunda, 453 West 12th Avenue
    Open 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

    ** When picking up your replacement blue box or bag, please bring ID showing that you live in Vancouver.

    If you would like to order your blue boxes or bags by phone, please call 3-1-1 (or 604.873.7000 from outside Vancouver city limits). Please have your address, including postal code, and your daytime phone number ready when you call.
