SS Cutch
The Cutch was a large steam yacht originally built in 1884 for the Maharajah of Cutch.
The Union Steamship Company purchased her from Hajeebhoy Abdoolabhoy & Joomabhoy Lalljee, Bombay. She first handled the Nanaimo run under contract to the Canadian Pacific Railway, but was re-engined for Alaskan service in 1898 and ran from Vancouver to Skagway until wrecked 24th Aug.1900 on Horseshoe Reef, south of Juneau.
The Cutch was salvaged, in 1902 renamed the Jessie Banning. Later that year she was bought by the Columbian Navy, renamed Bogota and converted to gunboat.
