Atlantic GreenwayNeighbourhood Greenway: Atlantic

Atlantic GreenwayThe Atlantic Neighbourhood Greenway serves to beautify a section of City-owned property along the south side of Atlantic Street in the City's Strathcona neighbourhood. The greenway connects Strathcona Park and the Strathcona Community Gardens along Atlantic Street to Malkin Ave. From what was once the shoreline of False Creek, there are expansive views to the south beyond the rail yards.

The project was initiated by local residents and built in 1998. The design includes a crushed limestone path, stairs, trees, shrubs and lighting to enhance night safety. With future development of the property to the south, the greenway may eventually connect through to the Seaside Bikeway/Greenway and the Main Street SkyTrain station.
