Fees and Charges

Pricing Guidelines
  1. Families:  each person pays the Child rate.
    • To reduce the financial impact on small families and encourage more family participation. Adult(s) must be accompanied by a Child to receive the Family Rate.
  1. Flexipasses:  allow you unlimited admission to Park Board fitness centres, indoor and outdoor pools and ice rinks and are available for adults, youth, and seniors.
  1. Strip or multiple admission tickets:  up to 20% off applicable single rates for 10/20.
    • Incentives to increase use of facilities.
  1. Priority times:  higher/lower rates may be charged at specific times of day or week.
    • To distribute use and available times.
  1. Leisure Access Cards:  are available to Vancouver residents with limited income. Entitles cardholder to free public swimming and skating and 50% reduction of basic programs and services.
    • To encourage participation and to assist financially where appropriate.
  1. Those persons with disabilities who are in need of assistance to participate are entitled to bring an attendant free of charge if required.
    • To enable persons with disabilities to participate in any recreational activity.
  1. Exclusive use:  specific age categories or groups may be given pre-arranged special use of facilities upon request.
    • To distribute usage over available times and provide for special tournaments and group activities.
  1. Reduced fee sessions:  specific low-cost public sessions at rinks and pools.
    • To enable all citizens to use these facilities at reduced rates during designated times.
  1. Refund requests: A full refund is granted for cancelled programs or for Refund Requests received 48 hours prior to the start of the program. A Refund Request received within 48 hours of the start of rink and swimming lessons run by the Park Board, will be assessed a $10 Administration Fee. Refund Requests will be pro-rated after the first class. Refunds for medical reasons will not be charged the Administration Fee (but a medical note is required).
