Endowments

The Vancouver Park Board's Endowment was established in 2006 to provide long term, sustainable funding for park conservation and recreation.

Park Conservation Endowment

The Park Conservation Endowment provides sustainable funding for park conservation projects throughout the city.  Interest from the endowment can be designated to your favourite park for projects such as trail rebuilding, protecting environmentally sensitive areas, invasive species removal or replanting of native trees and shrubs.

Recreation Endowment

The Recreation Endowment provides sustainable funding for the development of new recreation programs. Interest from the endowment can be designated to your favourite community centre, favourite playground or recreation program such as adapted sports, after school programs or senior’s dance classes.

How do I establish an endowment?

Endowment Benefits

• A tax receipt will be issued for your gift
• A park bench will be made available to you and will become part of your legacy
• The endowment can be named in your honour or in honour of a loved one
• The name of your endowment will be listed on our website 
• Invitation to annual donor recognition event and park tours
