The Vancouver Park Board manages more than 200 parks and 40 major recreation facilities. The Planning Division is responsible for:

• ensuring that parks and recreation facilities are properly designed and well maintained to meet community needs; and
• expanding the park and recreation system to meet future population growth.

Long-term plans guide and frame our work and set out values, directions and priorities of the Park Board.

Public Consultation

Public meetings, open houses and workshops are opportunities to have open dialogue directly with residents to share information, build consensus, reduce conflicts, and plan together for the future. Outcomes are ultimately presented to the Park Board for consideration.
