HSBC Bank Canada Donates $300,000 to Support Stanley Park Restoration

January 10, 2007 (No. 3) - The Vancouver Park Board is very pleased to announce that HSBC Bank Canada has generously donated a total of $300,000 to support Stanley Park Restoration. This contribution will help fund the cost of repairing the damage that was done to Stanley Park in the windstorm that hit the Vancouver area in December 2006.

"I am pleased that HSBC Bank Canada is taking a major role in contributing to the restoration of Stanley Park," said Mayor Sam Sullivan. "I hope that other companies follow HSBC Bank Canada's lead and support the rebuilding of Vancouver and Canada's national treasure."

Park Board Commissioner Heather Holden added: "The Park Board appreciates this exceptional level of support in our restoration efforts of what is considered one of the world's most beautiful urban parks."
