Update on the Stanley Park Restoration Plan

April 9, 2007 (No. 10) - Park Board Chair Ian Robertson will be joined by staff and representatives of the Stanley Park Restoration Steering Committee to provide an update for the media on clean-up and recovery efforts in Stanley Park and present a preview of the Restoration Plan. A question and answer period will follow.

The Stanley Park Restoration Team and Steering Committee have spent the last several months assessing the damage to the park and developing a plan for its recovery, following the December wind storm that levelled almost 45 hectares of forest in the park. The Restoration Plan will be presented to the Board for approval at a Special Meeting on Monday, April 16 at 7 pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
