Stanley Park Seawall Closed Temporarily Due to Mud Slide (Third Beach to Lions Gate Bridge)

November 13, 2008 (No. 35) - The Stanley Park Seawall will be closed temporarily between Third Beach and the Lions Gate Bridge because of a mud slide resulting from heavy rainfall over the past few days.

Staff are consulting with an engineering contractor about the problem and estimate that the Seawall will be closed at least through Friday, November 14th while remedial work is carried out. Staff are making every effort to have at least the pedestrian lane open by the weekend.
