When Global Television decided in January of this year that it would host a telethon to raise money for the Stanley Park Restoration, Global contacted Coast Capital Savings to see if they could provide staff who would volunteer to take the phone calls and donations. From January 8th to 12th, Coast Capital Savings staff had logged in more than 160 volunteer hours during the telethon. In addition, $32,000 was raised by members and staff at Coast Capital's Savings 49 branches. Coast Capital Savings also made a generous corporate donation to the park restoration project in the amount of $10,000.

The success of the telethon was due in no small part to the vital support services provided by the volunteers and management of this highly regarded corporate citizen.

The Park Board is grateful to Coast Capital savings for their community leadership and hard work. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who gave so generously in time and donations.
