Service levels during the Olympic and Paralympic Games
As a partner with the City of Vancouver, the Park Board has made a strong commitment to achieving a successful 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games by providing staff for enhanced operations that support Olympic and Paralympic activities. Many permitting staff will be part of the Host City Team and our services, while continuing during the games period, will be affected.

There will be delays processing applications for Special Events and Filming, Weddings, Ice Rinks, Commercial Recreation, Picnics and Field Sports leading up to and during the 2010 Winter Games.

During the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games
Killarney, Trout Lake and Britannia Rinks will be used as Olympic Training Venues. Trout Lake will operate as a dry floor facility April - August, 2010, Killarney's schedule during this period is not yet determined. Both rinks will resume ice operations in late August, 2010. Britannia will be closed Jan. 28 – March 5 2010 and will re-open for public use on March 6th. more»
