Rink Rentals
Rink Reservation Information
- You may View Rink Schedules and request a one time hockey reservation online. For bookings which require skate rentals (ie schools and skating parties), please contact the rink programmer.
- Reservation requests will be looked at by staff and approved or denied based on our ability to offer the facility. The schedule will tell you what has already been booked.
- Friday on-line requests may not be processed until Monday.
For last minute weekend bookings please call the individual rinks programmers

- Seasonal ice is available to book online on the following dates (most ice availability will be after 11pm and prior to 7am). Please note: Trout Lake, Riley park and Killarney will be used for dry floor rinks in the spring and summer/ West End and Kerrisdale will be play palaces :

- More than one reservation request date requires Liability insurance. You will need to provide us with a copy of the policy. Standard requirements are as follows:
The licensee must obtain Comprehensive General Liability Insurance protecting the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, and the Vancouver Police Board against liability for bodily injury, death or property damage, arising out of the activity. The minimum limits shall be $2,000,000 inclusive per occurrence, maximum deductible $500.00 per occurrence, with a cross liability clause. Acceptable proof of insurance must be received by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation prior to the use of any facilities covered under this permit.
NOTE: The foregoing satisfies the City's minimum insurance requirements. The City does not warrant that this insurance is adequate for the licensee's needs. By accepting this permit, the licensee acknowledges sole responsibility for obtaining whatever coverage the licensee deems necessary.
Clients must book ice for a minimum of 1 hour.
- Cancellations/Refunds/Switching dates
We need at least 3 weeks notice for any cancellations before you will get a refund. A charge of $25.00 will apply. For any multiple of 5 cancellations on the same permit, you will be charged another $25.00.
If you want to switch a date, please email your cancellation to pbrinks@vancouver.ca (with at least 3 weeks notice) and re-book your new request online. There will be a $25.00 administration fee.

Request a Hockey Reservation Online
For bookings requiring skate rentals (eg. skating parties) you must contact the rink programmer. If you choose to book a skating party online, it will not be a complete booking until you have contacted the programmer. Please limit your hockey requests to the current season. Payment for an approved request must be made within 24 hours.
- Online bookings will be unavailable Dec 21, 2011 - Jan 2, 2011 and will resume January 3/12 at 8:30am. Please contact the individual Rink Programmers to book ice during the holiday season.
