What Activities Keep You Fit and Active?
I like to walk and climb stairs. I make it a routine to walk
two hours daily, seven days a week. In addition I find walking outside
stimulates my senses and re-energizes me.
What Motivated You to Become Active?
I have had Type II diabetes for
10 years plus. I find physical exercise helps
me control my sugar levels and gives me additional
energy to get me through my day.
What Did You Do to Become More Active?
I volunteered on two community boards to give back to the community
and to make a difference.
How Do You Motivate Yourself to Stay Fit?
By being active I have a better quality of life, so I enjoy
family, friends and others.
What Are the Benefits of Being Fit?
It enables me to do lots of additional things that wouldn't
otherwise be possible.
What Are Your Future Fitness Goals?
I plan to strengthen my core and control my body weight. This summer
I plan to return to biking and working out in the weight room at the
community centre.
