June 24 Mojo Groovin'
Mojo Groovin' is Vancouver's fresh blues, funk and jazz grooves band. We are a 4-piece instrumental band consisting of guitar, drums, bass and keyboard. We play instrumental stuff you can't help but tap your feet to! Our main influences come from jam and groove masters such as Herbie Hancock, Jimmy McGriff, Grant Green, George Benson, just to name a few. Who said jazz music can't be fun? July 15 Meshe & Moon Circus
Meshe & Moon Circus (www.mooncircus.ca ) are a fun loving group of musicians who, hot off a cross-Canada tour of their new tunes, "Revolutionary Lullabies", are excited to play uplifting, heart-warming and soothing melodies for your summer enjoyment. Meshe is the ringleader of a shifting constellation of circus members, currently comprised of cello, guitar, piano, vocals and percussion. See you at the Bandstand! August 12 Tim Sars Band
The Tim Sars Band is the pinnacle culmination of Sars' passion for creating music that brings people together. With deep sensitivity to the experience of the audience the trio plays to their crowd, moving between traditional jazz standards and self-composed pieces that blend complexity with accessibility. For Krieg, Minckler and Sars the stage is a venue to mix and mingle with the jazz of present and past, saluting the departed heroes of horns, bass, and drums. www.timsars.com . August 26 Three Potato
Three Potato plays a mixture of Irish, Old Time and modern fiddle music on marimba and guitar. These tunes are melted down into an addictive stew of bubbling melodies and simmering hot rhythms.
