Picnics in ParksCasual use: No permit requiredWelcome to some of the most beautiful picnic areas in the world!! Space is available for your picnic on a first come basis if your group is less than 50 people and you are not at a designated picnic site. You may bring a BBQ, blankets, lawn chairs and a small table. You must obtain a permit if your group is larger than 50 people. Looking for more certainty? Permit required (fees information in upper right hand corner)Bookings for our formal picnic sites begin on the first working day in January at 8:30am. All requests must be completed using our easy online reservation service. When you book, you will receive a permit which will match up with a reservation sign or a picnic shelter. Your group must be 150 people or less. If your group is larger, or your desired location is not listed, please fill out a special events application Before you book:Bookable Time Frames
