Stanley Park Seawall Open For Weekends Only

January 18, 2002 - The storm damaged section of the Stanley Park Seawall will be open from late Friday afternoons until early Monday mornings, until further notice, to accommodate recreational cyclists, pedestrians and skaters. Removal of debris, seawall repairs and cliff scaling will continue during weekdays when the seawall will once again be closed to traffic just west of Siwash Rock to just east of the Lions Gate Bridge.

The ever popular 8.8 km Stanley Park Seawall was severely damaged during a late December storm that combined torrential rainfall, hurricane strength winds and high seasonal tides.
