Lost Lagoon Fountain Turned Off During S-Curve Construction

July 24, 2002 (No. 51) - The Lost Lagoon Fountain will not operate during the realignment of the S-Curve at the Georgia Street entrance to the Stanley Park Causeway. Excavation in the area adjacent to Lost Lagoon necessitates the disconnection of electrical power required to operate the fountain.

The S-Curve construction work is the last part of the Lions Gate Bridge and Causeway upgrade undertaken by the Provincial Government, ICBC, TransLink, the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Park Board.

It is anticipated that the Lost Lagoon Fountain will be reactivated by Spring 2003.
