Stanley Park's Children's Farmyard and Miniature Train to Open for 2003 SeasonFebruary 1, 2003 (No. 4) - Chicks and ducks and geese better scurry, when the popular Children's Farmyard and Miniature Railway reopen for the 2003 season. Starting Saturday, February 1st the train and farmyard will be open every good weather weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To check on prices and openings call the information line at 604-257-8531. A wide variety of farmyard animals such as goats, sheep, cows and pigs will be found nuzzling visitors of all ages while roaming free in the barnyard enclosure. Popular attractions also include reptiles such as boa constrictors and lizards plus turtles and spiders. Helpful staff will be on hand to explain the wonders of the animal kingdom Not to be forgotten is the ever-popular Miniature Railway with it's 12 minute ride through the entrancing forest of Vancouver's first Park. The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation maintains 200 parks and 40 major facilities throughout the City of Vancouver.
