Proposed Welcome Figure at Hadden Park

The Vancouver Park Board will host a public meeting to hear comments on the Maritime Museum's proposed installation of a Welcome Figure in Hadden Park. Hadden Park is located at Kitsilano Point just west of the Maritime Museum and east of Kitsilano Beach Park. Carved on-site at the museum by Squamish artist Darren Yeltin, the figure would serve to supplement a permanent museum exhibit providing information on the Squamish village of Snauq which once stood at the Hadden Park area.
