Sheep Shearing Time at the Children's Farmyard!May 16, 2003 (No. 25) - It is time for the annual sheep shearing at Stanley Park Children's Farmyard. On Monday - May 19th between 12:00 noon and 3:00 p.m., Vancouver Island sheep shearer Lorea Thomsin will educate and entertain visitors as she cuts wool from the Farmyard's 20 sheep. The children can help Lorea by holding the fleece and generally asking her questions they have. Even the resident pony and llama will be getting a trim! The farmyard will be open rain or shine during the long weekend. Summer hours for the Children's Farmyard begin on Saturday - May 31st, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
