Special Events in Vancouver Parks

August 29, 2003 - Vancouver Parks host a diverse range of cultural events and outdoor activities. Listed below are some upcoming special events facilitated by the Vancouver Park Board. The Vancouver Triathlon Labour Day Sept. 1 at 6:30 to 10:30 am presented by Multisports Canada. Routes: Swimming - 2nd Beach; Cycling - Park Drive; Running - Seawall from 2nd Beach to Siwash Rock and back. Park closed to vehicle traffic during this time. Contact 604-736-9344

The Annual Ismaili Walk Sept. 6 at 11 am beginning at Lumberman's Arch in Stanley Park to raise funds for the United Way. Organized by the Ismaili Council for B.C. Call 604-268-1345

The 22nd Annual Coho Run Sept. 7 beginning at 7:45 am at Kits Beach. Presented by the Coho Running Club Call 604-980-8252

Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival Sept 13 at 4 pm in Slocan and Renfrew Parks. Parade, performances, and more. Call 604-257-8388

Parkinson's Association SuperWalk Sept 13 at 10 am beginning at Ceperley Field in Stanley Park. Organized by the BC Parkinson's Disease Association

The Annual Terry Fox Run In Stanley Park Sept. 14 at 8:30 am beginning at Ceperley Field. Presented by the Four Seasons Hotel.

The Annual AIDs Walk Sept 21 at 11 am at Ceperley Meadow (across from Fish House). Presented by BC Persons with Aids Society. Contact 604-915-WALK
