Call for Artists

September 19, 2003 (No. 53) - The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Community Centre Associations, announce the call to artists for the 2004 Artist-in-Residence Program. Residency specifics will arise from the interaction between the artist and the community members. The program supports collaborations between artists and communities, with artists fees of $8,000 per residency (plus up to $2,000 for materials).

Application and Information Packages about the participating communities will be available on the Park Board web site, participating community centres, the Roundhouse Community Centre, 181 Roundhouse Mews (corner of Dave St. and Pacific Blvd.) and the Park Board offices at 2099 Beach Ave.

The Artist-in-Residence Program is just one of many collaborative arts and cultural initiatives supported by the Park Board to ensure that arts and culture continue to enrich the lives of Vancouver residents and strengthen community connections.
