Archival Film of Coal Harbour Featured in Looking Back SeriesStep back in time, when Vancouver was an emerging city near the turn of the last century, at a special screening entitled Looking Back: Coal Harbour to be presented at the Coal Harbour Community Centre, 480 Broughton Street, on Wednesday, January 7th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Join CBC Archivist Colin Preston who will narrate 1907 film footage showing the streets and waterfront of a very young Vancouver followed by excerpts from a new film production by Like Minded Media. Present too will be the Vancouver Park Board's Stanley District Director Jim Lowden who will answer questions on Coal Harbour park development and the new shoreline's design and construction. Looking Back is an exciting series of presentations that reflect on the City of Vancouver's history through old moving images and narration. These events are presented in cooperation between the CBC and the Vancouver Park Board and will be offered at local community centres.
