New Park Board Web Address Makes it Easier to Come Home to Parks and Recreationwww.vancouverparks.ca
The most significant change for web site visitors is the introduction of four new feature boxes that change every Monday at the 12 noon upload. These front page stories allow the Park Board to highlight important and timely events and messages at a glance and a click, right off the home page without drilling down. In addition, new page formatting has been applied for clean and consistent looks throughout, a new A-Z directory makes searching quicker and on-line registration capabilities are now in use. As well, over the next few weeks, a total revamp of featured pages such as Stanley, Queen Elizabeth and Hastings Parks is scheduled. A consistent style will be applied to these heavily visited sites allowing quick access to most frequently requested information and new, more in depth material for the student or researcher. - 30 - For information contact: Terri Clark, Communication Coordinator, 604-257-8438 The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation maintains 200 parks and 40 major facilities throughout the City of Vancouver.
