Vancouver Street Trees - Park Trees Hit Hard by Snowfall

November 27, 2006 (No. 86) - The heavy snowfall has done considerable damage to street trees and trees in city parks. Park Board staff is advising the public to exercise caution and/or avoid heavily treed areas and to stay clear of compromised trees or damaged limbs.

Damaged or downed street trees should be reported to 604-257-8600.

If you see a fallen power line, please call BC Hydro (1-888-769-3766) with the exact location. Keep back a minimum of 10 metres (33 feet) from the wires or anything in contact with them and warn others of the danger. Always assume that the lines are energized.
