Stanley Park Seawall Remains Closed Indefinitely

January 9, 2009 (No. 2) - The Stanley Park Seawall will remain closed from Lions Gate Bridge to Third Beach because of safety concerns due to falling ice and mudslides from the slopes above the popular walkway. The general condition of the Seawall in this area is also hazardous because of fallen debris. Staff are making every effort to reopen the Seawall as soon as possible. Scaling work on the slopes will be carried out early next week.
