Thunderbird Community Centre hosts next Park Board meeting

April 14, 2009 (No. 22) - To bring Park Board decision-making and procedures to the neighbourhoods, the Vancouver Park Board is holding a regularly scheduled meeting out in the community. The next board meeting will be held at Thunderbird Community Centre, 2311 Cassiar Street , on Monday, April 20 at 7:00 pm.

The public is invited to join Park Board Commissioners and staff as they discuss a variety of issues and policies that shape Vancouver 's parks and recreation system. As part of the regular meeting, community members will have an opportunity to join in a question and answer session with Park Board Commissioners. The agenda for this meeting is posted on the Park Board's web site.

This is the second in a series of six community board meetings scheduled for 2009. Generally, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation meets on the first and third Monday of each month except during August. Most meetings are held at the Park Board office, 2099 Beach Avenue.
