Public Invited to Open House to View Development Permit Plans for New English Bay Bistro

June 11, 2009 (No. 30) - The Vancouver Park Board is holding an Open House to provide an opportunity for the public to view the Development Permit application plans for a new English Bay Bistro.

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009
5:00 to 7:00pm
Park Board Administration Office
2099 Beach Avenue

The plans are available to view at the Park Board Administration Office (Mon-Fri, 8:30am to 5:00pm) or on-line at vancouverparks.ca. The public can also send comments by email to pbcomment@vancouver.ca, please put "Bistro" in the subject line.

The new bistro would sit roughly on the same footprint as the current English Bay concession and patio area and provide both table and take-away food services. It has been proposed as part of the Park Board's Concession Services Food Plan that recommends the creation of tenant-built and operated food services at prime park locations. The Park Board developed and approved an overall plan for the redevelopment of its concession food services in 2006. These would offer a higher level of service and improved food quality and choice over what has currently been offered by the aging concession system.
