Around the Park"
Stanley Park Shuttle Begins Wednesday, July 1st
June 17, 2009 (No. 32)
- The Stanley Park Shuttle is back again as a fun and convenient alternative to car travel throughout the park. From July 1st to September 7th, 10 am to 6:30 pm daily, park visitors can board the shuttle at 15 convenient stops around the park. For a nominal fee of $2 for adults and $1 for kids ages 2 to 11, park visitors can ride all day, getting off and on the Shuttle at their pleasure. Children under 2 ride for free.
The Shuttle makes it easy to plan an all day outing to the park for families and out of town guests. For example, visitors can park the car, visit the Children's Farmyard and ride the Stanley Park Miniature Railway, board the Shuttle for lunch at one of the park's restaurants and then take the Shuttle to Second Beach Pool for an afternoon swim.
The Shuttle operates every 12 minutes and stops at the most popular sites and facilities. It takes approximately 45 minutes for the entire trip around the park. It is wheelchair accessible.
The Shuttle is provided by the Vancouver Park Board as part of its effort to preserve the environment of one of the Lower Mainland's most beautiful and well-visited parks.
Those planning to arrive at the park by transit should contact TransLink at 604-953-3333 or visit their web site at
