Stanley Park Traffic Advisory
Canada Day
Wednesday, July 1, 9:45pm to 10:45pm
June 30, 2009 (No. 15)
- In anticipation of expected crowds for the July 1st Canada Day Fireworks
at Coal Harbour, access to portions of the east side of Stanley Park may be restricted. Once it is determined that parking lots on the east side of the park are full, Park Drive will be closed in order to prevent congestion or gridlock. Access to the Lions Gate Bridge via the Georgia Street viaduct will not be affected.
The Burrard Inlet Fireworks Society will be staging a 25-minute fireworks show on two barges in Coal Harbour off Canada Place and on the North Shore near Ambleside Park beginning at 10:30pm on July 1.
