
Training Class for New Seniors Wellness Circuit in Tisdall Park

- The staff at Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre are offering a series of group training classes so residents can get the most out of the new Seniors Wellness Circuit at Tisdall Park. The new circuit is fun, free and easy to use. It includes exercises for the whole body and is designed to improve balance, strength, bone mass and cardiovascular capacity. Residents of all ages are invited to sign up for the training classes.

Located in the northwest sector of the five hectare park, the wellness circuit is designed to help seniors stay mobile and physically active. It is comprised of a series of thirteen activity stations incorporating state of the art fitness equipment. Adults of any age can benefit from the wellness circuit, which includes a cardio stepper, squat press, balance steps and tai chi wheels and more. The circuit has been built on a rubberized, resilient surface situated within an elegant plaza surrounded by fragrant perennial beds, benches and shade trees.
