Park Rangers
Park Rangers provide information to the public, deliver park service education, aid in fire prevention, and monitor park spaces such as beaches, play fields and general park activities.
Park Rangers have extensive knowledge of the Park Board’s facilities and by-laws. Rangers respond to incidents in parks and if necessary dispatch the appropriate city department or emergency service. Rangers have working relationships with the Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, BC Ambulance Service, Vancouver Animal Control, Coast Guard, Lifeguards and other local agencies.
