Definition:
This layer contains three types of noise areas as defined by colour and map tip.
Schedule C (Refuse Collection hours in Downtown area)
Schedule F (Prohibited Use of Leaf Blowers)
Please note that Schedule C and Schedule F areas have a slight overlap.
‘Downtown Area’ means the area of the City shown outlined in Schedule ‘C’ of the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. Within the outlined ‘Downtown Area’, the allowable hours for noise caused during bulk refuse collection by means of a mechanical or hydraulic lift installed in a motor vehicle are from 6:00am to 12:00am on any weekday or from 10:00am to 12:00am on any Saturday, Sunday or holiday. Prohibited Use of Leaf Blowers’ means a person must not operate a leaf blower within the boundaries of the area outlined in Schedule F of the Noise Control Bylaw No. 6555. For more information see Section 14B Noise Control Bylaw No 6555.
