Definition:
Hydrants are fire hydrants connected to the City of Vancouver's water network. The VanMap label for hydrants displays the hydrant number (the grid plus a sequence number) and the distance in meters from the hydrant to the hydrant feeder control valve. A red hydrant icon indicates that this hydrant is for 'fire use only'. A blue hydrant icon indicates that a hydrant use permit may be issued for this hydrant.
