Definition:
Water Pressure Zones are water pressure control areas in which a certain maximum water pressure can be expected from the potable water distribution network. There are eight Water Pressure Zones within the City of Vancouver's geographic boundary. The numerical label for each zone represents its normal maximum pressure as feet of hydraulic head above GVRD datum. No flow occurs between zones without passing through Pressure Regulating Valves (PRVs). For more information, go to Waterworks.
