Definition:

Transmission Mains are all active water mains greater than 300mm in diameter. Transmission Mains serve the bulk movement of water received from the Greater Vancouver Water District (GVWD) through the City of Vancouver. Many of these mains are owned by the GVWD. The VanMap label for Transmission Mains displays the Main Diameter in millimetres, the Main Material, the Main Lining, the Main Owner, and the Year the Main was installed.
