Share the Vision - Attend the next 1 Kingsway Open House

A public Open House is planned to present the latest developments in the exciting new community facility planned for the Mount Pleasant neighborhood at 1 Kingsway. The new multi-service civic centre will feature a new community centre, library, child care centre, rental housing, and underground parking. View the newsletter ( PDF, 219kb).

Public input is a vital part of the planning process of 1 Kingsway.

Meet the project's architects, Busby and Associates, who will present schematic drawings of the new civic facility. Ask questions, enjoy some refreshments, and meet your neighbours! Find out about the community fence art that currently decorates the perimeter of the site and enjoy a piece of the "fence art celebration" cake.

This combined civic facility reflects Vancouver's CityPlan vision for developing neighbourhood "centres" that bring together multiple civic services. Principles of sustainability will guide the planning and design of this project to provide a safe and healthy building which makes efficient use of our natural resources and leaves the best legacy for the citizens of Vancouver .

The development is a joint project of City of Vancouver , Vancouver Park Board and Vancouver Public Library.
