City of Vancouver Building By-law Part 7, Plumbing Services is the enforcement code references in which the District Plumbing Inspector’s use to inspect permitted projects, and related plumbing enforcement situations.

Plumbing Inspection Stages for a typical new construction of a building or house:

  1. Sub-soil Drainage Piping
  2. Underground Sanitary and Storm Drainage System Piping
  3. Sewers
  4. Water Service
  5. Rough-in Sanitary/Storm Drainage System Piping
  6. Rough-in Water Distribution System Piping
  7. Rough-in Tub and Shower Installation
  8. Plumbing Fixtures
  9. Final Inspection

For Residential Houses: Damp proofing of concrete foundation wall is inspected by the District Plumbing Inspector
