Fees

For new business licence applications, there will be a non-refundable application fee of $50.00* plus the licence fee set out in Schedule A of Licence By-Law No. 4450 (291kb). These fees are non-taxable. All licences will expire annually on December 31st of each year and fees will be pro-rated based on the business start date.

*For a special event, late night dance event, soliciting for charity, teenage dance, or temporary filming business licence applications, the $50.00 non-refundable application fee is not applicable.

Please submit the non-refundable application fee of $50.00 with your application form. If you are submitting your application by email or fax, this fee will be billed to you.

After we have received and processed your application, you will receive an invoice for the licence fee. Payment can be made:

• In person at the Licence Office, 2nd Floor East Wing, 453 West 12th Avenue between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday;
• Over the telephone with a credit card at 3‑1‑1 (outside Vancouver call 604.873.7000); or
• By mail with a cheque or a money order.

Accepted methods of payment: cash, cheque or money order (made payable to the City of Vancouver), debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).
