Horse-drawn Carriage

If you will be operating a four-wheeled vehicle drawn by no more than two horses and operated over a fixed or defined route of travel, you will need to obtain a vehicles for hire licence for a horse-drawn carriage. You will be required to complete and submit a Vehicles for Hire Application Form (137kb) with payment of the appropriate fee of $521.00 per vehicle.

Before we can issue you a vehicles for hire licence plate for your Horse-drawn Carriage, you must already have or apply for a Vehicles for Hire Office licence. You will be required to complete and submit a Vehicles for Hire Application Form (137kb) with payment of the appropriate fee of $126 plus a non-refundable application fee of $50. If the Vehicles for Hire Office is located in a residence in the City of Vancouver, you will also be required to complete and submit a Vehicles for Hire Home-Based Licence Application Form (45kb).
