The Cultural Sharing Group comes together every Monday in the Theatre. We are a group of First Nations from British Columbia and across Canada. We speak many different languages, we have various cultural traditions and customs. We respect and learn from one another around our differences.
You are invited to share your art form whatever it
is. The Cultural Sharing Arts ‘N’ Crafts program works this way, you may make one of whatever it is to contribute to the program and then you make one for yourself to take home.
We also celebrate our Indigenous Culture through participation in National Aboriginal Day, through special feasts, through Elders Gatherings, through participation in Aboriginal Veterans Day, & through culturally appropriate trips and outings.
We welcome drum groups and dancers to come and practice their drumming and dance in the Theatre on Monday evenings however, we ask that anyone practicing this art form remain respectful of the dance and drum protocols so as not to offend others present.
Carnegie is a DRUG & ALCOHOL FREE SPACE and everyone attending is asked to respect this protocol
