Instructions on submitting your application form and supporting materials

Choose one of the options below or your application will be disqualified.

1) Submit your ENTIRE application digitally

Submit all files to the FTP site including (see instructions below):

• Application form
• Financial documentation
• CV
• Documentation list
• Proof of residency
• Recent work samples (images/videos/documents)

OR

Submit all files on a USB Flash Drive via mail/courier/drop-off:

• Application form
• Financial documentation
• CV
• Documentation list
• Proof of residency
• Recent work samples (images/videos/documents)

2) Submit only your documents via mail/courier/drop-off AND submit only your recent work samples digitally

Submit the following files via mail/courier/drop-off:

• Application form
• Financial documentation
• CV
• Documentation list
• Proof of residency

Submit the following files digitally via the FTP site (see instructions below) OR on a USB Flash drive via mail/courier/drop-off:

• Recent work samples (images/videos/documents)

Instructions for downloading material onto the FTP site:

For PC Users ONLY:

1. Put all the documents and submission materials in one folder titled with your last name on your computer.
   
   
2. Use your internet browser and go to: ftp://ftp2.vancouver.ca. Type in User ID and Password when prompted:

   User ID: artstudioawards
   Password: van2011art (case sensitive)

3. Once you have logged into the account, click "Page" (in the top right hand corner of Internet Explorer), and then click "Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer", at which point you will be prompted to log on again (User ID and Password is the same as above). Once logged on, you should have a window that you can drag and drop files into.
   
   
4. Drag the named folder from your computer into the FTP site.
   
   
5. If you refresh the browser window, the folder will disappear, but please do not panic. This is a security feature which prevents other applicants seeing your submission.
   
   
6. Email: chisaki.muraki-valdovinos@vancouver.ca with the subject line: "AL/WS Application Submission". Please include your phone number in the email.
   
   
7. Please wait for confirmation that we have received your application (2-3 days). If you don't hear back from us after 3 days, please call us at 604.873.7921.

Mac Users and those having difficulty transferring files to the ftp site:
