City-owned Site: 1601 West 7th Avenue

1601 West 7th Avenue is one of twelve sites being developed under a Memorandum of Understanding (Downloadable PDF PDF, 272KB) between the City and the Province (BC Housing), a partnership that would see BC Housing fund the preconstruction costs for the development of 1100 – 1200 social and supportive housing units on 12 City-owned sites. According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement between the Province and the City of Vancouver, funding for the City-owned sites will include half of the net proceeds from the redevelopment of Little Mountain. Funding for 1601 West 7th Avenue was announced by the Province on December 15, 2009.
