City-owned Site: 220 Princess Avenue (formerly 606 Powell Street)

320 Princess Avenue (formerly 606 Powell Street) is one of twelve sites being developed under a Memorandum of Understanding (Downloadable PDFPDF, 272KB) between the City and the Province (BC Housing), a partnership that would see BC Housing fund the preconstruction costs for the development of 1100 – 1200 social and supportive housing units on 12 City-owned sites. According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement between the Province and the City of Vancouver, funding for the City-owned sites will include half of the net proceeds from the redevelopment of Little Mountain. The funding for this project was approved by the Province on May 25, 2010.
