Regulates the construction of and occupant safety in and about buildings.

Designates a part of the City as a business premises regulation area and to regulate closing times for certain types of business within that area.

Relates to the prevention of fire and the control and regulation of fire safety in buildings and premises.

Regulates the operation of restaurants and food dealers and general health conditions of businesses.

Licence By-law (309kb)
Requires every person carrying on a business in the City to obtain a business licence. Also contains regulations for certain types of businesses.

Regulates noise or sound within the City of Vancouver.

Second-Hand Dealers By-law (2.22mb)
Regulates the licensing and operation of second-hand dealers, pawnbrokers and junk dealers.

Sign By-law
Regulates the erection and placement of signs.

Regulates conversion or demolition of single room accommodation.

Standards of Maintenance By-law (141kb)
Establishes standards for the proper maintenance of buildings and land.

Regulates traffic and the use of streets.

Regulates the licensing of vehicles used for transporting passengers, including tow trucks, U-drives, driver training vehicles, taxi cabs, buses and limousines.
