Transferring a Municipal Decal and/or Commercial Vehicle Permit (Plate)

If you have already purchased a municipal decal and/or commercial vehicle permit (plate), you will be permitted to transfer them from:

• Person to person in respect of the same vehicle, or
• Vehicle to vehicle in respect of the same person

You will be required to provide us with the original decal, proof of purchase and the current vehicle registration.

In order to transfer your municipal decal, you will be required to purchase a replacement for a reduced rate. This is necessary as the original decal loses its adhesiveness once it has been removed from your previous vehicle. The fee for a replacement decal is $6.25.
