East Vancouver Port Lands

The City of Vancouver, the Burrardview Neighbourhood Association, and Port Metro Vancouver have completed a plan (Downloadable PDFPDF, 2.54MB) for the East Vancouver Port Lands (EVPL). The plan addresses a number of issues, including noise, views, and air quality, and will guide future land use decisions in the area. A major objective is to ensure that the Port can accommodate future growth, while respecting the livability of the surrounding residential area. The plan was adopted by Council on April 19, 2007 (Downloadable PDFPDF, 9.74MB).

EVPL Liaison Group

Currently, a EVPL Liaison Group meets regularly to oversee plan implementation and to help resolve issues and provide advice on new development in the area. The group is composed of representatives from the Burrardview Neighbourhood Association, Port Metro Vancouver, City of Vancouver and CP Rail. Meetings occur at least four times per year and are open to the public. Meeting dates and locations are available through contacting Jennifer.Natland@portmetrovancouver.com at Port Metro Vancouver.
