Chinatown's building boom at the turn of the last century was not
exceptional. Other parts of Vancouver were also transformed during
those active years. Most of the buildings on this block were built
between 1901 and 1913. Vancouver's next great building boom during
the 1960s passed this area by, leaving most of Chinatown intact
