Eligibility
re:CONNECT is an open, endorsed ideas competition. No direct commission will be awarded to the winners within the context of the competition. The intent is to generate ideas and stimulate discussion. No assumptions should be made that submitted or winning ideas would be implemented in policy, practice or project, either wholly or in part.
This is an ideas competition that is open to all. Urbanists of all professions and backgrounds, architects, intern architects, designers, students and creative thinkers among the general public are invited to submit proposals. Entrants will be able to participate individually or in groups. There is no limit on the number of participants in a group entry. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. The re:CONNECT competition has been reviewed by and is supported by the AIBC.
This is a ‘blind’ competition in that the judges will not be aware of the entrant’s identities or backgrounds.
No entrant may have any personal or professional relationship with either the Professional Advisor; any jury member; any members of the organizing committee; or any sponsor including the City of Vancouver. The Organizing Committee, Sean Ruthen, MAIBC, the sponsor, and the jurors shall not directly compete or assist a competitor in the competition, nor shall any employee, partner, or associate thereof.
